- Development Accountability: Voted to deny a 126-lot subdivision plat that would eliminate wetlands and increase flooding.
- Development Accountability: Actively participated in every public workshop on the Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code to hear from residents what they would like to see in future commercial development.
- Flood Infrastructure: Personally moved the flood elevation grant for Elkcam Blvd. and Catalina Blvd. — both District One roads repeatedly closed by Hurricanes Ian, Nicole, and Milton — putting real money behind fixing flooding that’s disrupted District 1 for years.
- Flood Infrastructure: Fought for consensus to approve and fund the Lake Windsor Stormwater Lift Station upgrades to address flooding in the Hoover Dr., Tulsa Dr., and Dorchester Dr. area.
- Fiscal Responsibility: Moved denial of a new annual fire assessment fee after talking with dozens of residents — killing the fee before it ever reached your mailbox. Keep Deltona livable!
- Public Safety: Supported fully funding the Fire Department, pursuing grant funding and advocating for a new station in District One to reduce response times — standing behind the men and women who protect the lives of our community!

His approach to the job is simple: listen to residents, understand the problem, find the funding, and get the job done. Government works best when we stop worrying about whose project it is and start asking how we can solve the problem.

Priorities for Deltona
Flooding & Infrastructure
Davison wasn’t satisfied with simply saying we needed to fix flooding — he helped put projects and funding behind it, and major projects are now moving forward to protect neighborhoods. His top priority is investing in the infrastructure that supports a safe, high quality of life: improving roads and drainage, expanding sidewalks, trails, and parks, and pursuing grants to maximize every local tax dollar.
Taxes & Fiscal Responsibility
Every year Davison has been in office, he voted to lower Deltona’s property-tax millage rate — and every year, it got done. He’ll keep pursuing meaningful tax relief, including working toward returning tax savings back to residents. Drawing on his professional experience in government budgeting, he believes in long-range planning, avoiding unnecessary debt, cutting waste, and improving efficiency so every tax dollar delivers the greatest value.
Public Safety
Whether we’re talking about deputies, safer parks, emergency access during a storm, or helping a family experiencing domestic violence, public safety has to remain a core responsibility of city government — and services must keep pace as our community grows.
Responsible Growth & Jobs
Residents want restaurants, shopping, medical services, entertainment, and good jobs — but infrastructure must keep pace with growth, and existing neighborhoods must be protected. Davison supports thoughtful growth through Deltona’s updated Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code so new investment strengthens our community while protecting the character of our neighborhoods.
Regional Leadership
Growth, transportation, housing, and economic development don’t stop at city boundaries — so our planning shouldn’t either. On the Volusia-Flagler TPO, Davison ensures Deltona competes for state and federal transportation funding, and through Team Volusia EDC he works to attract new businesses and quality jobs. Regional collaboration maximizes limited resources while protecting taxpayers and quality of life.
Protecting Our Water
Protecting our lakes, springs, and groundwater requires a practical, long-term approach: expanding central sewer where it’s financially feasible and delivers the greatest environmental benefit, prioritizing areas with documented concerns, and pursuing state and federal funding so the burden on local taxpayers and utility customers is minimized — ensuring modern infrastructure protects our natural resources for future generations.
